There’s nothing like domain knowledge when it comes to building, growing, and sustaining a company. That’s why I recently spoke with a group of Teachers College, Columbia University, students and alumni (I’m an alum, as well). I said “we need your knowledge and skills in this space!”

Why? Because the best companies are the ones that have such a deep understanding of their customers’ worlds — have such empathy for them — that they create products and experiences that enhance the work they do. They help them solve the kinds of problems they’ve either been wrestling with for years or didn’t even know they had.

Either way, they free them up to do the work that really matters. In the education space, that kind of work can make all the difference for students and their families.

So, thank you, Teachers College, for helping us connect! And thank you, students and alumni, for your passion to make a difference.

Here is the slide deck from yesterday’s talk.
