If we don’t fail, we’re probably not learning. If we don’t fail, we’re probably not taking any risks.
In schools, we talk a whole lot about success for our students. We talk a whole lot about tests and test scores. In the world beyond school, we talk a whole lot about success in life and in our careers.
I have to think that achieving success means experiencing failure, yes?
Why don’t we talk about it more? Is it too embarrassing? Too uncomfortable? Too unattractive in light of unblemished success stories?
I’m looking for stories of failure. I’d love to hear yours. My latest? I just finished a statistics practice quiz. Managed to fail most of it. Guess I have some work to do.
